Toledo es una de las ciudades históricas españolas, considerada la cuna del arte de nuestro país. Se la compara en calidad artística con Florencia, la bella ciudad italiana. Toledo fue de los siglos V al VIII capital del Reino Visigodo, que desde 589 se convirtieron al catolicismo; en dicha fecha se celebró el Concilio de Toledo que convirtíó al Rey Recaredo III, hijo de Leovigildo, en el primer converso al cristianismo católico. Con él se convirtieron los visigodos finalizando así la época de la pugna entre arrianos y católicos. Durante el Reinado de Carlos I (Que fue emperador Carlos V del Sacro Imperio Romano Germánico), nieto de los Reyes Católicos, Toledo se convirtió en capital de España. En la actualidad es un importante centro cultural y capital de la Comunidad de Castilla-La Mancha. Toledo es sede primada de la iglesia católica española.
Toledo is one of the Spanish historical cities, considered the city of art in our country. Some compare this city with Florence, the beautiful Italian city. Toledo was from V to VIII century the capital of the Visigothic Kingdom, which since 589 were converted to Catholicism; on that date they celebrated the third Council of Toledo in which King Recaredo III, son of Leovigildo, converted into Catholic religion. With him the Visigoths became catholics ending the era of the struggle between Arians and Catholics. During the kingdom of Charles I (Who was Emperor Charles V of the Holy Roman Empire), grandson of the Catholic Kings, Toledo became the capital of Spain. Today it is an important cultural center and capital of the region of Castilla-La Mancha. Toledo is the first siege of Spanish Catholic Church.
