Évreux es la prefectura (capital) del Departamento francés de Eure en Alta Normandía. Ya aparece en tiempos romanos y también aparece en la Guerra de los Cien Años entre Inglaterra y Francia, cuando la disputa por el trono, pues desde Guillermo I el Normando, Rey Francés que se trasladó a Inglaterra, los ingleses venían siendo titulares de la corona francesa. La ciudad sufrió mucho durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial y su centro tuvo que ser reconstruido. En la actualidad, al no estar tan alejada de la Capital de Francia, muchos trabajadores de París residen en Évreux.
Evreux is the prefecture (capital) of the French department of Eure Haute-Normandie. It appears in Roman times and also it appears in the Hundred Years' War between England and France, where the race for the throne, because since William the Norman, French King who moved to England, the English were being holders of the French Crown. The city suffered so hard during World War II that its downtown had to be rebuilt. At present, not being so far from the capital of France, Paris, many workers reside in Evreux.
