11 de Octubre en Torrente, provincia de Valencia, Comunidad Valencia, España.

Visitamos hoy la ciudad de Torrente, provincia de Valencia, Comunidad Valenciana, España. Torrente se funda en 1238 por otorgamiento de carta a favor de la Soberana Orden Militar y Hospitalaria de San Juan de Jerusalén, de Rodas y de Malta, más conocida como la Orden de del Hospital o de Malta, que es una orden religiosa católica fundada en Jerusalén en el siglo XI por comerciantes italianos de Amalfi. El Rey Jaime I pidió ayuda a la Orden para la Conquista de Valencia y a cambio otorgó territorios y ciudades a la Orden para que los administrasen a su antojo y así poblaciones como Cullera, Silla, Montroy y Macastre, junto con Torrente pasaron a manos de la Orden de Malta. La torre monumental que queda en el centro de la población (ver fotografías) formaba parte del recinto defensivo musulmán y luego pasó a formar parte del castillo de la Orden en la ciudad. Se pueden ver aún en sus cuatro cúpulas las cruces de la Orden. 

Today we visit the city of Torrente, Valencia, Spain, Torrente is founded in 1238 by granting letter in favour of the Sovereign Military and Hospitaller Order of St. John of Jerusalem, of Rhodes and of Malta, better known as the Order of the Hiospital or Order of Malta, a Catholic religious order founded in Jerusalem in the eleven century by Italian meerchants from Amalfi. King James I of Aragon sougght help from the Order for the conquest of Valencia and in return he granted territories and cities to the Oder that they would administer at will and thus populations as Cullera, Chair, Montroy and Macastre along with Torrente passed to the Order of Malta. The monumental tower in the center of town (see pictures) was partof the defensive Muslim fortress and then it became part of the castle of the Order. Crosses of the Order can be still seen in its four domes.

10 de Octubre en Sagunto, Comunidad Valenciana, España.

Visitamos Sagunto, provincia de Valencia, España, que fue sede industrial de una parte de Altos Hornos de Vizcaya y que actualmente sobrevive con industrias auxiliares de la metalurgia, aunque tiene un claro potencial turístico aún no suficientemente aprovechado. 

Esta ciudad es histórica pues en el año 219 antes de Cristo fue asediada y rendida tras 8 meses de cerco por el general cartaginés Aníbal, en el contexto de la Segunda Guerra Púnica, antes de atravesar los Alpes y plantarse en la península itálica. Sagunto era aliada de los romanos y por eso Aníbal no podía dejarla detrás sin tomarla. Los saguntinos prefirieron lanzarse a la hoguera que rendirse al invasor.

Visiting Sagunto in the province of Valencia, Spain. It was an industrial base of Altos Hornos de Vizcaya and currently survives on support industries of metallurgy, but it has a strong tourism potential which has not been yet sufficiently exploited. 

This city is historic because in 219 BC it was besieged and surrendered after 8 months of siege by the Carthaginian general Hannibal in the context of the Second Punic War, before crossing the Alps and stand on Italy. Sagunto was an ally of the Romans and therefore Hannibal could not leave it behind without taking it

. The Saguntines preferred launch into the fire to surrender to the invader.

Today we visit Villarreal, in the province of Castellón, Spain. This city is famous for having ceramics and for being the home of Villarreal CF, the world famous "Yellow Submarine". The inhabitants of this city are very proud of their team.

Benidorm es una ciudad de la provincia de Alicante, en la Comunidad Valenciana, situada a orillas del mar Mediterráneo, en la comarca de la Marina Baja, de la que es su municipio más denso y poblado. Es la capital turística de la Comunidad Valenciana.

Conocida como la «Nueva York del Mediterráneo», Benidorm es la ciudad con más rascacielos de España, la ciudad con más rascacielos por habitante del mundo y la ciudad con más rascacielos por metro cuadrado del mundo tras Nueva York.

Se trata de uno de los destinos turísticos más importantes y conocidos de España y de todo el Mediterráneo gracias a sus playas y su vida nocturna, llegando a alcanzar los 400.000 habitantes en verano. No en vano Benidorm es la tercera ciudad con más plazas hoteleras de España tras Madrid y Barcelona.

El Mediterráneo adquiere aquí un color azul turquesa. Solo se puede ver un color parecido en la Costa Azul francesa.

The Mediterranean acquires a turquoise color here. One can see a similar color only in the French Riviera.
